2009 Dunlop Photoshoot in Coral Gables, Florida (March 24-25)
As the PR guy for Dunlop tennis, this year I had a chance to be a part of a photoshoot Dunlop had for it's ATP and WTA Tour players. My general role was that of on-site organizer. I worked with the photographer, Jorge, to get the players in all the requisite positions, holding the right product, etc. Doesn't sound too hard, I realize, but after 8 hours in the Miami sun doing anything, you feel pretty beat. In any case, we'll skip ahead to James's role in the whole production (since this is his website after all).
JB was actually our last player to shoot (no guns involved, just a photographic term). He came in Wednesday around 4pm. Unbelievably, the players all pretty much arrived on time (a tall task when it comes to athletes). James went through the same routine as everyone else- we had him showcase product in a portable studio that was set up at the end of one of our two courts, then we had him on his back on the court for the 'tennis ball shot', then had him hit a few balls, then he did some junior product shots with some kids, and finally we videotaped him with a tennis tip for everyone (forthcoming, hopefully).
No lewd or lascivious tales to pass along really. Normally I would make one up for your benefit, but with jobs in short supply these days, don't want to risk mine.
