The Thomas Blake, Sr. Memorial Cancer Research Fund

One Set, One Match, One Cure!

In the summer of 2008, James announced the Thomas Blake Sr. Memorial Research Fund at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Important fundraising initiatives will include his tennis charity exhibition and the J-Block merchandise program. In the next twelve months James has set a goal to raise $1 million for cancer research.

Mission Statement:
"James Blake believes that progress against cancer should never be hampered by a lack of resources. The Thomas Blake, Sr. Memorial Research Fund, founded in memory of his father, supports early detection research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering--the nation's preeminent cancer center. The Blake Research Fund invests vital seed money at the leading-edge of science: speeding the most promising work, and shortening the time it takes for discoveries at the lab bench to become better treatments at patients' bedsides. One hundred percent of every dollar donated to the Fund goes directly to cancer research - One Set, One Match, One Cure."
